Kiosk

"Kiosk" exhibition held at Marres 06.09.02-15.10.02 Exhibition design and furniture for Marres and the "Kiosk" archive of contempory art by Revolver Publishing. Commissioned by Frederique Bergholtz. Display for this traveling archive of contemporary independent art publishers in Marres, Maastricht. For this exhibition Manuel split the archive according to the four rooms which were available, the order was dummies, magazines, books, audio and video. Each room was fitted with tables, having different reading heights, suggesting various speeds of reading, for example magazines at a bar height, books at a regular table height. The tables ran through the entire gallery space as one continuous line, fitted to the walls and doors. Lounge- and sitting- bags, specifically produced for this exhibition, the sitting bags can be used for normal upright sitting, as well as thrown flat on the floor to sleep on them.
